Luna is a Mexican American coyote living in rural Texas, owner and operator of a little bar/diner named, eponymously, "The Mad Dog." She's a no-nonsense, irritable woman who runs a tight ship and takes no shit from any patrons to her establishment, though some regulars might try to convince you her bark is the worst of it. The Dog is one among the handful of places to do anything in a small town at the county line, and Luna isn't afraid to put her boot down when outsiders or regulars get uppity.
